Dibrugarh Police Arrested Fake Doctor

DIBRUGARH: Dibrugarh Police arrested another fake doctor on Tuesday. The arrested doctor has identified as Yakub Ali who had been working as a doctor at Hati Ali Tea Estate in Dibrugarh district for the last five years, as an imposter of Dr Yakub Ali Ahmed who is presently working as a gynaecologist at JSB Civil Hospital, Kajalgaon in Chirang district. Acting on an FIR lodged by Dr Ahmed, the police arrested the imposter Dr Yakub Ali from his official residence at Hatiali Tea Estate on Tuesday.

Police Officer of Chabua Police Station, Tulumoni Duwara said that during enquiry, it came to light that the arrested bogus doctor worked at Greenwood Tea Estate of Assam Company and few other tea estates in Jorhat before joining as Medical Officer at Hatiali Tea Estate. "It is really hard to believe how an imposter of a reputed on-service government doctor had served in established tea companies of Upper Assam as Medical Officer for the last 12 years by duping the management and other senior officials of these tea estates," Duwara added.
