Dibrugarh police arrested four drug peddlers

DIBRUGARH: Dibrugarh police nabbed two drug peddlers and seized 13.62 grams of suspected drugs from their possession in the Dibrujan area of Dibrugarh on Wednesday night. The drug peddlers have been identified as Ankit Jha and Aslam Hussain. "We got a tip-off regarding drug peddling. We conducted an operation in the Dibrujan area and arrested two persons and seized 13.62 grams of drugs from their possession," said a police official.

In another crackdown, Tengakhat police seized 2.5 grams of suspected drugs and arrested two persons from Tengakhat Oil Collecting Station. "As per information, we conducted an operation and nabbed two drug peddlers at Tengakhat OCS. A Maruti car bearing registration number AS-06 H 4085, suspected drugs of 2.5 grams and a syringe were seized from their possession," said a police official. He said, "A case no. 21 A sec 31/22 was registered against them at Tengakhat police station. They were sent to jail."
