TINSUKIA: A webinar on yoga was organized by the District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), Tinsukia in collaboration with Samagra Siksha, Tinsukia on Friday on the topic 'Benefits of Yoga and its Impact on the Holistic Wellbeing of the Students'. Bikash Boruah, a physical educationist and a yoga expert, while speaking on the occasion as resource person, highlighted on an ancient adage about leading a disciplined lifestyle which contributed to a healthy mind and body. The speaker brought to light the benefits of rising early which is 'Brahma Muhurto' and also how food habits impact physically, mentally and spiritually. He said, "Yoga is a spiritual discipline based on an extremely subtle science." Nripen Saikia, Principal, DIET Tinsukia, while inaugurating the webinar, stressed the importance of physical activity among students during the pandemic and emphasized the aims of education keeping in view the multilingual nature of Tinsukia district.
