TINSUKIA: Dilip Bezbaruah, former Principal of Boy's ITI Tinsukia, founder of Women's ITI Tinsukia and Borbaruah ITI Dibrugarh, passed away due to cardiac arrest at AMC&H, Dibrugarh on Thursday.

Resident of Bordoloi Nagar Tinsukia, Bezbaruah began his service at Shillong ITI and had both technical and administrative expertise. After superannuation in 2002, he joined Gorgo Motors in Tinsukia and established a technical school that offered polytechnic and apprenticeship courses for local unemployed youths. He was 79. More than his technical know-how, he was an ardent connoisseur of cookery and was well versed with cuisine and recipes of different communities. His sudden demise cast a pall of gloom among his admirers. He leaves behind his wife, Bonti Mala Devi, former head department of Assamese, Tinsukia College, a son, a daughter and grandchildren.
