Dima Hasao Fashion Week held at Hojai Farmland

HAFLONG: To celebrate culture and tourism, the Dimasa Women Association, Maibang organized the first-ever Dima Hasao Fashion week at Hojai Farmland near Diyung bridge on Saturday. The programme was inaugurated by Konika Hojai, wife of Chief Executive Member, N C Hills Autonomous council, Debolal Gorlosa by lighting the holy lamp in presence of Prashant Ghosh, renowned choreographer, fashion designer and organizer along with other personalities from various fields.

The first ever Dima Hasao Fashion Week 2022 was organised to promote local weavers' fashion and jewellery designers. Altogether 35 participants including kids took part in the event showcasing traditional attires with various designs. Kids also showcased their talent.

Moromee Maibangsa of Dimasa Women Association in her welcome speech explained the aims and objectives of the fashion week while offering her warm welcome to the guests. Earlier, Prashant Ghosh and other guests were felicitated by the organisers.
