Dima Hasao PWD gets Additional Chief Engineer on Gautam Chandra Sarkar's joining

Haflong: After a gap of several years, the Dima Hasao Public Works Department got its full-fledged Additional Chief Engineer following the joining of Gautam Chandra Sarkar as the Additional Chief Engineer at Haflong.

Sarkar, who served in Cachar PWD circle, joined here at Haflong on July 31 on promotion. Earlier, this post was held by officials as in-charge for a long time causing a lot of inconvenience.

Sarkar, while talking to this correspondent, appreciated the NC Hills Autonomous Council authority, environment of the district and its developmental activities. He said, “Since the NCHAC authority has been giving priority to infrastructure development in the district, the PWD has taken up a number of roads for construction and widening throughout the district. Development has taken a momentum here in Dima Hasao. Being the head of the department, I can assure that the PWD will leave no stone unturned to execute all the works with utmost sincerity and honesty.”
