Dimasa Students' Union celebrates its 67th foundation day

HAFLONG: The Dimasa Students' Union Central Committee Dima Hasao celebrated the 67th Foundation Day as Dimasa Students' Day at Dishru Cultural Club Maibang with great enthusiasm on Tuesday.

The day's programme started with the paying of tribute to the founder president and general secretary of the Dimasa Students' Union, Hirimba Pratap Thaosen and NC Kemprai. The union was established in the year 1955 for the betterment of the students of the Dimasa community as well as society.

Chief Executive Member, NC Hills Autonomous Council, Debolal Gorlosa attended the celebration as the chief guest. Gorlosa was accompanied by president of DSU, Sidut Naiding, Executive Member Bijit Langthasa, and other dignitaries.

CEM Gorlosa said, "Students can play an important role in improving and strengthening the society, they are the future leaders of a country. I wish you all the best and good luck for success in every step in the days to come."
