Diphu Bishop attends Garo Catholic Sabha in West Karbi Anglong

Dongkamukam: On Sunday, Bishop of Diphu Rev Paul Mattekat held a Holy Mass in front of over five thousand catholic believers at Rengthama, near Satgaon West Karbi Anglong in presence of Parish Priest Fr CA John of Satgaon Parish, Fr CB John Parish Priest of Sojong and others. The theme of the sabha was, “Let children come to me...and do not hinder them’ Mark 10-14.” Bishop in his sermon urged the believers to have more and deep respect towards faith.
He also called upon parents to care for overall welfare of the children and asked to encourage them more not only to educate children but also to send their children to church.
Earlier, on the first day of the sabha Fr Januarius Sangma Provincial of Guwahati Province inaugurated the 43rd Annual Garo Catholic Sabha which was held at Rengthama from January 18 to January 21. Fr Albert Thyrniang, Fr Justin Chinapa-Raj, Fr Charles Sangma, Fr Bernard Sangma Sisters attended in today’s programme.
