DIPR Director Anupam Choudhury extends financial aid to Manoj Kumar Gogoi

GAURISAGAR: The Director of Information and Public Relations, Assam Anupam Choudhury on Saturday approved Rs 25,000 for treatment of Manoj Kumar Gogoi, correspondent of a vernacular daily from Dessangmukh. Gogoi is currently admitted in Sivasagar Civil Hospital and is undergoing treatment for cardiac ailment. The amount will be transferred to the bank account of Gogoi. Further, in a message, the media advisor to the Chief Minister of Assam, Hrishikesh Goswami also enquired about the health condition of Manoj Kumar Gogoi and wished him a speedy recovery. The journalist fraternity of Sivasagar district hailed the initiative of the Directorate of Information and Public Relations, Assam for extending the much needed support to the ailing journalist.
