DIBRUGARH: District Development Committee's (DDC) meeting was held here at Deputy Commissioner's conference room with Deputy Commissioner (DC), Pallav Gopal Jha in the chair. The meeting held for the first time since clamping of lockdown, was attended by District Development Commissioner, Sanjay Dutta, and ADCs—Rajib Thapa and Nandita Barua and officials of the different departments.

DC Jha while addressing the meeting asked the entire department heads to complete all those unfinished development works which were stalled due to lockdown for prevention of coronavirus outbreak, without any further delay. He also called all officials to adhere to COVID-19 protocol strictly while undertaking official works. Reviewing the ongoing works under Agricultural Department, Deputy Commissioner Jha asked officials of Agriculture Department to complete the verification process for identifying actual beneficiaries of Prime Minister Kishan Yojona soon and submit the report to him at the earliest.

DC also reviewed the various works being initiated in the district by the Agriculture department under Mukhyamantri Krishi sah-sojuli Achoni, MM Gramya Unnayan Yojona and KCC wrin Pradan yojona and also other similar schemes. The meeting also reviewed the works of PWD Rural Road Department who are executing construction work for upgrade and repair of number of main roads of Dibrugarh town as well as rural roads in the district under Pradhanmantri Gramya Sadak Yojona and asked the department to complete all works within the time limit. Jha also directed the department to complete ongoing up-grade works of roads in tea estates. Referring District Administration's earlier directives to managements of tea estates to pay full wages to labourers, during ATTSA's bandh on March 23 and 24, Deputy Commissioner Jha asked the Assistant labour commissioner to place a detail report with a reference that how many of tea estates management follow the government directives.
