KOKRAJHAR: A district-level yoga competition was held at District Parade Ground, Kajalgaon on Monday in connection with the 8th International Day of Yoga. The tournament was officially inaugurated by Additional Deputy Commissioner of Chirang District Ajit Kumar Sharma.

In his inaugural speech, Sarmah welcomed all the contestants and urged them to perform well in the competition to be selected for the state level competition so that they can win the state level competition and bring reputation to the district.

District Election Officer and District Ayush Nodal Officer Partha Pratim Barua said that the district-level winners of the four categories of competitions would participate in the State-level competition.

The yoga competition was observed and supervised by Dr. Raju Das and Rahul Narzary, Coordinator, Institute of Yoga and Nutrition Sciences, Kokrajhar. Rahul Narzary urged people of all walks of life to stay healthy by doing yoga daily to stay healthy.
