MANGALDAI: Reiterating their commitment to the countrymen while rendering their sincere service in every moment from protecting the dignity, honour, sovereignty of the Motherland to extend a helping hand to the people at the hour of crisis and need, the 'Brothers in Olive Green' this time have stand by a promising young 'Divyanga' talent of Mangaldai on Friday. Writusmita Hazarika –a cute girl having inability to hear or speak since her birth of village Pakabangipara near Mangaldai town has come out successfully in the HSLC Examination under SEBA securing a total of 434 marks with 72.33%. Significantly, she has also secured 86 marks in General Mathematics. Writusmita was a student of 'Saraswati Bag Dhwani' in Guwahati- a special school for the students like Writusmita. She is the daughter of Pabitra Hazarika- a teacher and Kabita Hazarika.

On hearing the rare achievement of Writusmita, two senior officers of Indian army on Friday rushed to her residence and offered some gifts as a mark of solidarity, encouragement and inspiration. Principal of DIET, Dalgaon Madhab Chandra Sarma and mediaperson Bhargab Kumar Das also accompanied both the visiting Army officials. The Army is also planning to sponsor this exceptionally talented girl in completing her higher education. Both the Army officials also visited the house of Dhritiraj Bastav Kalita-the topper in the HSLC Examination at village Baneikuchi near Pothorughat of the district and offered him some gift items.
