Donpainon Thaosen Elected New BJP President of Dima Hasao District

Haflong: Donpainon Thaosen, the newly-elected district president of Dima Hasao BJP, appealed to the people of Dima Hasao to extend their support to the BJP and assured that he would give priority to addressing people’s grievances.

Thaosen was addressing a press meet held just after he was elected as the president of Dima Hasao BJP where outgoing president Nipolal Hojai and other leaders were present.

Donpainon Thaosen was unanimously elected as the new president of BJP Dima Hasao for 2019-2022 by the BJP Dima Hasao District Committee in a meeting held on Tuesday at the District BJP office, Haflong.

The result was declared by Deba Pratim Bora, president of BJP Golaghat district- cum- district returning officer of Dima Hasao, in presence of Saikat Dutta Choudhury, national secretary of BJYM and election observer, BJP Dima Hasao, and Ibeichung Newme, assistant district election in-charge. Thaosen has held various positions in the party since its inception in the district and was the general secretary until now.
