Don’t play with the future of students: All Bodo Students Union

KOKRAJHAR: The All Bodo Students Union (ABSU) demonstrated against the Education department on Monday in front of the Director of Education, BTC, after the question papers for HSLC exam were leaked. They issued a warning not to trifle with the youngsters’ future. The Bodo Sahitya Sabha and Dularai Boro Harimu Afat leaders also participated in the event (DBHA).

A memorandum was also sent to Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma through the Director of Education, BTC. The ABSU in the memorandum said the conduct of HSLC examination by the Board of Secondary Education Assam, had created panic over the transparency in conduct of the HSLC examination. To address the harassment and grievances faced by the HSLC appearing students the union placed some of the demands for the conduct of such prestigious examination till date.

The cancellation of the General Science exam that was supposed to take place on Monday was vehemently criticised by the ABSU. According to the ABSU, the HSLC is the most significant exam of our lives, hence we demand a free and fair test. The ABSU urged that all remaining exams be conducted with a full-proof method and that strong, commendable action be taken against anyone responsible for question paper leaks.
