TINSUKIA: The Deputy Commissioner of Tinsukia, by an order vide no TPL-1/HEALTH/2019 of August 31, ordered the closure of Dr. Ojha Nursing Home owned by Dr Yogendra Prasad Ojha in Doomdooma which was made into effect on Friday after Circle Officer sealed the premises under Section 11 of the Clinical Establishment (Registration & Regulation) Act 2010. The order stated that the nursing home in question did not register under the Act since 2014. After the reply of the show-cause notice served to the nursing home was found unsatisfactory, the District Registering Authority, Tinsukia decided to shut down the operation of the nursing home until fresh registration. The nursing home got embroiled into a serious controversy in July following death of a woman.
