Dr Ranoj Pegu attends centenary celebrations in Sivasagar
Education Minister of Assam, Dr Ranoj Pegu participated in the inaugural function of the centenary celebrations of Namti Boys’ Higher Secondary School

SIVASAGAR: Education Minister of Assam, Dr Ranoj Pegu participated in the inaugural function of the centenary celebrations of Namti Boys' Higher Secondary School on Friday. The event was attended by the president of the celebration committee and MLA of Amguri constituency Pradip Hazarika, Deputy Commissioner of Sivasagar Aditya Vikram Yadav, Sivasagar Superintendent of Police Subhrajyoti Bora, Working President Sofiur Rahman, Principal of the school Minuma Hatibaruah, President of the School Management Committee Aseema Bezbaruah and several other dignitaries.
The Minister recalled the glorious past of the school in the context of his goodwill speech and gave special importance to the education of the school.
In this regard, minister Dr Pegu emphasized on women's education in the context of his speech and mentioned the role played by the central and state governments in providing co-education in all schools except the historical institutes of women's education. Apart from this, the Education Minister also mentioned the improvement of the infrastructure and quality of the schools through the integration of schools with less number of students. The Education Minister wished for the cooperation of the people in the management of the schools. He also appreciated the response shown by the people through the Vidyanjali scheme.
