Dreaded Dacoit Nabbed By Villagers In Jorhat

JORHAT: The people of Monaimaji –Dhekorgorah area under Pulibor outpost caught a dreaded dacoit who had been looting people of the area since over a month. The dacoit was identified to be Ankur Das. He was caught red-handed in the residence of one Jagat Gayon while he was trying to break open the wardrobe to loot the valuables inside. Jagat Gayon and his son had just returned from the village namghar. They saw the dacoit and raised an alarm. Many devotees from the namghar came and thrashed the dacoit before handing him over to the police.
