Dibrugarh: Along with the rest of the country, a special drive with the objective of providing KCC cards to all eligible beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) was launched from Saturday under Mission Mode for a period of 15 days in Dibrugarh district. All PM-KISAN beneficiaries who have not availed credit under KCC scheme as yet have been requested to avail the benefit during the drive.

The initiative has been taken under the guidance of the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, Government of India.

Kisan Credit Card is a form of institutional credit at extremely concessional rates. All PM-KISAN beneficiaries, who do not have an active KCC loan account, can approach the branch in which their PM-KISAN money is credited. The beneficiaries will need to furnish the bank with land record details as well as details of crops sown by them. Farmers with inactive KCC cards may also approach their bank branch for reactivation as well as sanction of fresh limit. Further, farmers who require admissible enhanced limit for livestock and fisheries may also approach their branch for consideration. All PM-KISAN beneficiaries having existing KCC may also approach their branch for enhancement of limit, if required.

PM-KISAN beneficiaries have been asked to get in touch with their nearest bank branch or ADO for more information.
