DOOMDOOMA: Based on tip-off, a police team led by Doomdooma Police Station (PS) officer-in-charge (OC), Inspector Ashim Bora launched a massive search operation at Athengia No.1 village under Doomdooma PS and apprehended one opium peddler named Bonti Neog, wife of Munin Neog of Athengia, around 10.30 am on Wednesday. Police seized 108 grams of suspected opium along with Rs 22,310 in cash from her possession. Further investigation is on.
