Drug peddler sustains bullet injury at Deepor Beel area under Azara Police station

PALASBARI: Drug peddler Kurban Ali (28 years of age) sustained serious injury as police fired on him when he tried to flee from police custody at Matiya near Deepor Beel under Azara Police station on Friday night.

Sources informed that the dreaded drug peddler was arrested by police in Machkhowa. On Friday, police brought him to Matiya near Deepor beel . At that time the drug peddler tried to escape from police custody; and when the police fired on his left leg, he was injured.The drug peddler was admitted to GMCH.

One constable was also injured in the encounter.
