Drug smuggler apprehended by Border Security Force of Guwahati Frontier in Fulbari under Cooch Behar district

GUWAHATI: Troops of Border Security Force of Guwahati Frontier apprehended one Indian drug smuggler along with 399 bottles of Phensedyl on Tuesday from bordering areas of Fulbari under Cooch Behar district of West Bengal.

Acting on a tip off on Monday, BSF troops apprehended the drug smuggler in Fulbari border outpost when he was trying to flee to Bangladesh from India. Apprehended drug smuggler has been identified as Swapan Barman, (19 years), son of Bipin Barman, resident of Fulbari Chowpati under Sitalkuchi Police Station in Cooch Behar district of West Bengal.. He has been handed over to Sitalkuchi Police Station for further legal action, stated a press release.
