Drugs peddler held; drugs and pistol seized by Assam Police
Rangia Police, with the help of Tamulpur police, apprehended a drug peddler named Jiyaul Haque of Kaurbaha under Baksa district on Friday.

RANGIA: Rangia Police, with the help of Tamulpur police, apprehended a drug peddler named Jiyaul Haque of Kaurbaha under Baksa district on Friday.
According to the OC Rangia, Anil Moran, drugs peddler Jiyaul Haque was travelling from Kaurbaha to Rangia on his motorcycle bearing number AS 01Q 1328. The Rangia Police and Tamulpur Police jointly intercepted the motorcycle acting on a tip-off.
During search operation, police recovered a loaded pistol and six containers with drugs. Police seized the pistol, drugs and motorcycle. Rangia Police handed over the accused to Tamulpur Police. Police are interrogating him for further information.
