Drugs seized in Demow, two arrested
Two youths were apprehended from Thowra Tea Estate by Demow Police on Thursday.

DEMOW: Two youths were apprehended from Thowra Tea Estate by Demow Police on Thursday. According to sources, the local people caught the two youths and from their possession a drugs container was found. The two youths were Bitupon Sonowal and Rahul Das and both of them were taken to Demow Police Station on Thursday. According to police sources, on the basis of their statements, a search operation was conducted in a house at Dehajan Habi Gaon. Police seized 125.85 gram of suspected drugs which was kept inside a toy. Jekia Begum, wife of Nazim Hussain, was arrested. The two youths and Jekia Begum were sent to Sivasagar on Friday.
