Education only way to remove darkness of ignorance, says Xatradhikar Pitambar Dev Goswami

LAKHIMPUR: "A perfect and disciplined life cannot be possible without the pursuance of proper education. Education brings renaissance to the human life. It is the only way to attain knowledge to remove the darkness of ignorance," stated Sri Sri Pitambar Dev Goswami, the Xatradhikar of Sri Sri Auniati Xatra in Lakhimpur.

The Xatradhikar said this while inaugurating an educational institution at Maidamiya near the town of North Lakhimpur. Highlighting the impact and importance of man-making education, the Xatradhikar said, "Persons with noble character not only make their lives beautiful, but also lead the society, the country or the community towards an ameliorated State free from miseries. Such a society can be built by the masses working together in harmony, solidarity, conviction and by following a constant ideology of renunciation."

The Xatradhikar termed the relationship between students, guardians and teachers as a holy confluence (trivenisangam) of three vital forces of the society.

Deputy Commissioner of Lakhimpur, Khageswar Pegu graced the occasion as the guest of honour. In his speech, the Deputy Commissioner said that the education administered in the light of spiritual ideology could contribute immensely in building the character of students and asked them to practice and honour Indian culture.
