Educationist Dr Amarjyoti Choudhury urged to develop Book Reading

Biswanath Chariali: “The universe lies behind books. We can observe the universe through a book,” said eminent writer and educationist Dr. Amarjyoti Choudhury recently at Barangabari, Gohpur in Biswanath district on the occasion of ‘Let’s Read Books’ programme organized by Surabhi Sahitya Samaj, an active branch of Axam Xahitya Xabha.

He also explained the importance, aims and objectives of this intellectual movement in order to create awareness on the importance of book reading among learners. He also said that books were the treasury of knowledge and paved the way for the development of civilization. Dr Choudhury called upon the new generation to make book reading a habit so that the future of the nation, language and culture could be secured.
