Eight COVID-19 positive patients in Golaghat discharged from Civil Hospital

Golaghat: Eight COVID-19 positive patients were discharged from Swahid Kushal Konwar Civil Hospital. As per reports, on Sunday the hospital authority discharged four COVID-19 positive patients after their tests came negative.

The patients are Anowar Hussain of Dighalipam, Dergaon, Alina Begum of Morangi Dhulia Gaon, Rohimuddin Ahmed and Saleha Begum of Bhelowguri of Merapani of Golaghat district. They were released from the isolation ward of the hospital after being cured of the disease. The patients will remain under quarantine for another 14 days at Anajori Bibah Bhavan.

Deputy Commissioner Bibhash Chandra Modi, Joint Director of Health Services Dr Taufik Rahman and Hospital Superintendent Dr Uttam Dutta felicitated the discharged patients with fruits and Assamese phulam gamosa.

Earlier on April 17, State Health and Finance Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma visited the hospital and that day four patients were discharged by the minister. Notably, in Golaghat district, 9 persons tested COVID-19 positive. They had attended the Nizamuddin Markaz congregation in Delhi. At present, there are no reports of any new COVID-19 case in the district.
