Eight persons get life imprisonment for a murder case in Barpeta

BARPETA: The District & Sessions Judge of Barpeta district, Aparesh Chakravartty sentenced eight persons to life imprisonment in a brutal murder case. They are Altaf Ali, Manir Ali, Sanowar Hussain, Anowar Ali, Jakir Hussain, Abdul Jalil, Idris Ali and Sahidul Ali. In 2014 at Kahikuchi village under Barpeta police station in Barpeta district, these eight people had inhumanely attacked one Hafijjul Ali of the same village and he was seriously injured. Though he was taken to the hospital, he died. A case (no 23/2014) was registered by the locals against this brutal killing U/S 302, 147,148,149,447, 325 IPC.
