Elephant found dead on the outskirts of Deepor Beel

PALASBARI: A female elephant was found dead on the outskirts of the Deepor Beel on Tuesday. A three-year-old baby elephant's body was found dead in the same place on January 28. As per reports, the female elephant was seen wandering the area after the incident. Some locals said that the female elephant wandered to the same place after the calf died and she seemed unwell for a long time but the forest department did not come forward to help the elephant.
