Elephant killed under Doomdooma forest division

TINSUKIA: A 9-year old elephant was killed and its tusks axed by miscreants at Kakojan reserve forest under Doomdooma forest division on Monday night. The elephant that strayed from a herd of pachyderms which entered a paddy field the previous night. Local people alleged that the elephant was killed by using firearms. The forest officials have initiated investigation.
