Eminent educationist Swapna Devi dies at Silchar Medical College and Hospital

SILCHAR: Eminent educationist and former professor of Sanskrit at Assam University Swapna Devi breathed her last on Wednesday night at Silchar Medical College and Hospital. She was 71. She was suffering from a kidney disorder for a long time. Swapna Devi left behind her husband former principal of Cachar College Sukhamay Bhattacharya. Swapna Devi started her teaching career in Rabindra Sadan College in Karimganj and later in G C College. She joined AU in 1995 and subsequently was promoted to the post of Dean.
