Autonomous District Council Employees Demand Release of Pending Salaries

DONGKAMUKAM: The employees of the Autonomous District Council recognized towns such as Hamren, Boithalangso and Dongkamukam, under the banner of West Karbi Anglong Municipal Board Employees' Association (WKAMBEA), held a press meet at Dongkamukam where they demanded Kabri Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) CEM Tuliram Ronghang to release their pending salaries of 67 months (Hamren), 12 months (Vothatlangso) and 72 months (Dongkamukam) respectively.

The president of the association, Harsing Timung said that they were eagerly waiting to meet the authority of the council to apprise their problems but the global pandemic had delayed this meeting. He said that the employees were now facing problems in running their households.
