TINSUKIA: The Divisional Personnel Officer under DRM Tinsukia of NF Railway made a mockery in an employment notification issued on 16.04.2020 which sought the appointment of few Hospital Attendants on contractual basis through walk-in-interview on 20.4.2020.
The notification has put the job seekers under OBC category into extreme confusion and quandary. In the OBC eligibility criteria, besides educational qualification, the Railways have asked the candidates to submit ‘Criminal/ non-criminal certificate’.
This erroneous notification was brought to the notice of the DRM Tinsukia and he was requested to issue corrigendum and postpone the interview in order to enable the candidates to procure the certificates as per norms.
Meanwhile, the NFR Mazdoor Union (NFRMU) has questioned the holding of the interview during lockdown period when all modes of transports are shut and inter-district movement of people is barred.
