DHUBRI: To build back equitable education for young girls, Bilasipara Education block and Piramal Foundation have been implementing Saksham Bitiya Abhiyaan (SBA) since January this year.

The campaign commits to build a better tomorrow for young girls by equipping them through a unique curriculum. In regard to curriculum, Mizanur Rahman, CRCC, Bilasipara, Dhubri district played a pivotal role through reflective supervision to assist the teaching staff with planning and implementing the chosen curriculum.

In the month of January this year, Manuj Kr. Phukan, SI of schools, inaugurated the campaign in the block. Talking to The Sentinel, Phukan said that the thinking of society was changing slowly as he was seeing women coming out of their comfort zone and trying to bring a change. "But now it is our responsibility to stand by each and every girl child of our society, to tap their potential and to support them in growing into powerful women who can break new grounds," Phukan further said.

While demonstrating the activities of SBA, Phukan, SI of schools, created a joyful environment by singing and dancing with the participants. His creative way of involvement and participation among the participants makes him stand out and also reflects the campaign purpose.

To attract the community and raise awareness to empower the girl child, a rally was taken out on the occasion of International Women's Day in Bilasipara town under the supervision of Tinku Sarkar, CRCC, Bilasipara.

To deliver holistic education and transform the life of young girls, 118 schools are implementing the campaign covering 4,662 girl children through 304 female teachers in the block.
