Ex-BLT leader's house raided, leader alleges political conspiracy

Kokrajhar: The residence of former Bodo Liberation Tigers (BLT) leader Janomohan Musahary in Assam's Kokrajhar district was raided on Thursday (February 5) in connection with an arms seizure near the India-Bhutan border. Mushahary, the president of Ex-BLT Welfare Society alleged that the raid was a 'deep-rooted political conspiracy' against him.

He said that no objectionable items were recovered during the operation and nothing was found except gold ornaments, cheque-book, and two air guns. This is nothing but a political conspiracy.

Janomohan Musahary speaking to the media stated, "When I asked the purpose of raid to the Kokrajhar district Superintendent Police, Rakesh Roashan informed me that this is a confidential matter, cannot be disclosed. I am a citizen of a democratic country, I also follow the democratic parliamentary system. I obey the rule of law. I support them to do their work."

"I am the president of Ex-BLT Welfare Society. Everyone knows that, On February 10, 2003, the Assam government, the Union government, and the Bodo Liberation Tigers (BLT) signed the Memorandum of Settlement on Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC). There were more than 3000 leaders and cadres in BLT. On December 6, 2003, at Bonorgaon playground, Kokrajhar, we thought about the development and resettlement of the surrendered leaders and cadres. That is when we formed the society with three guidelines of peace," Musahary further added.
