Excise raids conducted in Tinsukia district

TINSUKIA: Excise raids were carried out on Friday by the excise staff of Tinsukia (Sadar) circle in different parts of Tinsukia (Sadar) circle such as Pakharijan, Kuwaripather Prathamic Vidayalaya, Bordubi.

Following raids conducted by C K Baruah, i/c Inspector of Excise Tinsukia, at the houses/compound/ liquor selling shop, the team seized and destroyed fermented wash (FW) 4200 litres (approximately), IDL-330 litres and five DA sets.

Elsewhere in the district, Margherita excise department, in association with Lekhapani police, conducted raids at Karpungpuli, Jagun Namphai village in Assam-Arunachal border and destroyed 70 litres of IDL and seized 80 kg of molasses.
