DHUBRI: The first executive body meeting of the Dhubri district unit Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) was held under the chairmanship of Dr. Debamoy Sanyal at the office premises in Dhubri Zila Parishad complex on Saturday.
The meeting resolved to urge upon all the five sub-committees to gear up their activities in view of the ensuing rain and flood. Members and conveners of the five sub-committees—Disaster Mitigation, Health, Finance, Youth Red Cross and Junior Red Cross were requested to sit and discuss on their agenda of works and prioritize them.
In the meeting resolution, Dr. Mushkura Ahmed and Pranabasish Roy, both members of the health committee, were requested to contact doctors and keep liason with Dhubri Joint Director of Health Services, Superintendent of Dhubri Civil Hospital, Principal of Dhubri Medical College and Hospital, Dhubri district unit of Indian Medical Association, Dhubri District unit of Assam Medical Service Association, Dhubri District Pharmacists' Association and Dhubri district Drug Dealers' Association and seek their assistance in view of flood.
Similarly, the meeting also resolved and requested Somnath Banik and Nirmalya Paul to contact PHE Engineer for supply of drinking water during flood.
