DIBRUGARH: The two-day Krishak Mela (Farmers' fair), organized by ATMA in association with the District Administration, Charaideo held at the play ground of Safari Tea Estate, was formally inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner, Charaideo, Pall Boruah on Tuesday, a DIPRO Charaideo press communique issued here said.
DC Boruah, in his inaugural address said that the two-day agricultural fair will give an opportunity to the farmers of this region to sell their produces and to familiarize with the new agricultural machineries as exhibited here. He hoped that the fair would act as a platform for the farmers of the district to know many aspects of agriculture particularly use of scientific machineries, fertilizers and scientific method to increase their productivity through discussion and interactive sessions.
