Financial literacy awareness programme held

KALAIGAON, July 17: Kalaigaon branch of Assam Gramin Vikash Bank (AGVB) organized a financial literacy programme under Gram Swaraj Abhijan on Tuesday in the Bhehguri LP School field.

On the occasion, an open meeting was held which was presided over by Arun Sarma. Addressing the people, Upen Ch. Deka, manager of Kalaigaon branch of Assam Gramin Vikash Bank (AGVB), said that people should have an insurance policy for the benefit of their next generation. He elaborated about the Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana and Atal Amrit Yojana. More than 200 people took part in this meeting. Meanwhile, the insurance scheme under Gram Swaraj Abhijan was taken up by 130 people in this meeting.
