DHUBRI: A six-day training programme of Bank Mitras named FLCRP (Financial Literacy for Community Resource Person) was organized in RSETI (Rural Self Employment Training Institute), Dhubri. It concluded on Wednesday.
The training programme was organized in collaboration with DMMU, ASRLM Dhubri, which was inaugurated by Dhubri Lead Bank Manager (LDM), Nabeen Koomar.
The Principal Trainer, Dhubri District Functional Expert - Financial Inclusion (DFE-FI) ,District Mission Management Unit (DMMU) of Assam State Rural Livelihoods Mission (ASRLM), Monosh Malakar imparted training on the knowledge of different types of banking and financial activities like opening of accounts in bank branches, different type of loan facilities available in the banks, alternate delivery channel, social security schemes, digital banking etc.
Director RSETI, Apun Pratim Handique briefed the candidates in the convocation about the importance of this vital training. "I am extremely happy to see that the entire batch of female participants have been trained, and it is the true picture of women empowerment," he said.
Dhubri LDM, Nabeen Koomar, while addressing the convocation, told the participants that their responsibility had increased many fold as now onwards they had to train others and educate them about what they had learnt during the training programme here.
"I appreciate RSETI Dhubri for playing a pivotal role in the development of the district by training the youths of Dhubri district. Dhubri district is an aspirational district, hence if the youths get trained, they may get loan from banks and may establish their own business, which will not only contribute to the development of the district but also serve the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat," Koomar said. Training certificates and tool kits were distributed among the trainees.
