FIR lodged against DID season 5 winner Praneeta Swargiyary's father
The family members of Manika Swargiary, mother of DID (Dance India Dance) Season-5 champion Praneeta Swargiyary had lodged an FIR against her husband Tapan Swargiary at Kokrajhar police station on Friday as Manika Swargiary was found hanging in their Delhi flat on Thursday.

KOKRAJHAR: The family members of Manika Swargiary, mother of DID (Dance India Dance) Season-5 champion Praneeta Swargiyary had lodged an FIR against her husband Tapan Swargiary at Kokrajhar police station on Friday as Manika Swargiary was found hanging in their Delhi flat on Thursday.
Manika Swargiary, mother of Praneeta, was found dead in Delhi flat on Thursday in mysterious circumstances. The family members of Manika in Malgaon village in Kokrajhar suspected that her suicide was quite mysterious and forceful as her husband had an alleged illicit relation with another woman living in New Delhi. A video, in which Manika Swargiary was tortured, was circulated in social media, just days before her death. They alleged that she was forced to commit suicide.
Family members reiterated that Tapan Swargiary, husband of Manika, had been torturing her for a long time. Seeking justice for Manika, the family members had written to Delhi Police Commissioner to investigate the matter.
