JAMUGURIHAT: An FIR against Ahmed Ali, a resident of Saraijania village, Sootea who made an abusive comment on Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on social media platform on Monday was lodged at Sootea Police Station by a team of Sootea Mandal BJP. It is to be mentioned here that the students of Hatinga T.E Model had visited Guwahati as per the invitation of the Chief Minister on Saturday from Hatinga T.E. The chief minister had invited the students to Guwahati during his visit to the school in June last year. As per his invitation a team of students visited Guwahati and CM's photograph dining with students was shared by a television channel on social media. Ahmed Ali had made an abusive remark on the photograph. A team of Sootea Mandal BJP headed by Iswar Timsina, president of the mandal committee along with other members lodged an FIR against the youth and demanded exemplary punishment. A team of Sootea police visited his Sarajania residence but Ali became untraceable after making public comments. Babulal Ali and Nekib Ahmed, president and secretary of All Assam Gariya Jatiya Parishad, Biswanath district committee, respectively condemned the abusive comment made by one Ahmed Ali and demanded immediate and strict action against Ali, stated a press release issued by the organization on Tuesday.
