FIR lodged against Satyaranjan Borah for making communal & provocative comments

KALAIGAON: An FIR has been lodged against writer Satyaranjan Borah for allegedly making 'communal and provocative' comments on a TV show at Nalbari recently.

The FIR was lodged at Kalaigaon police station by the Udalguri district committee of BTR Goriya-Moriya Deshi Students' Union on Tuesday. "Borah must be arrested for his controversial statement on the Muslim community," stated the FIR copy.

Further, Faizul Hussain, president of Udalguri district committee of BTR Goriya-Moriya Deshi Students' Union, has demanded that Borah be arrested for attempting to divide the society on communal lines.
