First attempt for capping OIL's well at Baghjan fails

DOOMDOOMA: The final preparation of capping operation of OIL's blowout well at Baghjan failed in the first attempt undertaken on Friday. OIL's press release stated, "All operational crew reached the site early in the morning on Friday for carrying out the planned capping operation. BOP (Blow Out Preventor) stack was hooked up with the Athey Wagon for placing on the well head. While the final capping operation was being attempted, the Athey Wagon toppled over at the last moment and the attempt did not succeed. Reasons for the same were being ascertained for next course of action. However, final preparation for killing operation, the well killing fluid was ready at site."
