First COVID-19 casualty in Golaghat Kushal Konwar Civil Hospital

GOLAGHAT: Sensation prevailed in Golaghat after a young man suffering from fever died suddenly on Sunday.

As per report, Uttam Das, aged around 26 years, who worked in a pharmacy in Golaghat town, passed away after suffering from fever. He had fever since the last few days. When his condition became serious, he was taken to Swahid Kushal Konwar Civil Hospital in Golaghat. Later, he was referred to Jorhat Medical College and Hospital. While being taken to Jorhat, his condition deteriorated and he was admitted at a medical centre in Dergaon but he could not be saved.

His swab test came positive for COVID-19. He is the first COVID-19 casualty in Golaghat.
