First district-level Assam Darpan- District Magistrate dashboard launched in Dhubri

DHUBRI: First district-level DM dashboard in Assam was formally launched in Dhubri district by Dhubri Deputy Commissioner Anant Lal Gyani in order to take Digital India forward at his office chamber in presence of media persons on Independence Day. This dashboard will be known as ‘Assam Darpan – DM Dashboard’ or ‘Assam Mirror’ and will be used by specific users (officials) of Dhubri district administration.

Earlier, the Assam CM dashboard was launched under Assam Darpan’s initiative on October 27 in 2017 and the entire Assam Darpan platform was developed by National Informatics Centre (NIC), Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology as a part of the Digital India Programme.

Addressing the mediapersons, Gyani informed that there would be progress indicators of 15 schemes which include Swachh Bharat Mission (Gramin), MGNREGA, National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM), Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin, VAHAN, land records, property registration, Green Revolution BGREI, Krishi Vikash Yojana (KKA), Kishan Credit Card (KCC) scheme, information on schemes under Sarva Siksha Abhijan, Border Area Development Programme, Janani Surukhsa Yojana and PM Jana Vikash Karyakom for Minority Welfare.

The dashboard will facilitate the presentation of data on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) of flagship schemes and projects of both Central and State governments, Gyani further informed. Gyani also informed that this dashboard would also facilitate measuring the outcome and impact of schemes which would help to take appropriate and timely decision and action.

Assam DARPAN is an important step taken by the State under the Digital India Programme for an open, transparent and accountable government wherein details of key programmes and projects will be available, informed officer of District Informatics Centre, Kailash Kalita.
