Flagship scheme 'Arohan' launched in Nagaon district

NAGAON: As per the directive of Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma as well as New Education Policy 2020, the Chief Minister's special scheme 'Arohan' was ceremonially launched in Nagaon district here at a function held at the auditorium of Nowgong Government Boys' HS School on Wednesday.

Deputy Commissioner of Nagaon, Narendra Kr Shah inaugurated the scheme. The officials of the scheme 'Arohan' have already shortlisted over 233 meritorious students studying in class IX from government schools to appoint them as mentors in various schools so that they can guide the student fraternity in all aspects, including career counselling.

The programme was initiated by Samagra Shiksha, Asom in association with Nagaon district administration. Additional Deputy Commissioner, Nagaon, Prasanta Boruah, Inspector of Schools, Nagaon and other officials from Samagra Shiksha, Asom were present in the programme.
