Flood preparation meeting held by Dibrugarh DC Biswajit Pegu at conference hall

DIBRUGARH: A discussion on flood preparation meeting was held at the DC's conference hall under the chairmanship of Dibrugarh Deputy Commissioner Biswajit Pegu on Friday.

Biswajit Pegu instructed the officials to take precautionary measures to mitigate floods during monsoon. A detailed discussion was held in the meeting on the actions to be initiated by circle officers and other government departments during a probable flood situation.

Every year, flood and water-logging create havoc for the people of Dibrugarh. This year, an early flood-like situation has emerged in some areas of the district due to incessant rain for the last couple of days. The Dibrugarh district administration on Thursday distributed relief materials to the Dhodia forest village.
