FlyBig Starts Direct Flight Between Guwahati-Tezu in Arunachal, Know The Schedule

GUWAHATI: Flybig airlines has started a direct flight service between Guwahati, the capital city of Assam, and Tezu in Arunachal Pradesh.

Informing about the direct flight service, Flybig in a tweet on Wednesday said the airlines will start direct flights connecting Guwahati with Tezu from August 19, 2021.

According to a press release, Flybig airlines, RCS UDAN flight was inaugurated today at Tezu Airport, Arunachal Pradesh.

> ATR 72 aircraft will connect Guwahati- Tezu route on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday.

> Flight S9 201 will leave Guwahati at 8.25hrs and will reach Tezu at 9.35hrs

> Flight S9 221 will depart Tezu at 9.55 hrs for Guwahati.

Notably, the inauguration function was attended by Pema KhanduCM, Arunachal Pradesh through video link, Ravi Kant, Regional Executive director NER; AAI, state govt officials, airline members, and others.

Tezu is known for its natural beauty and the new flight service is expected to boost the tourism sector in the area.

The chief commercial officer of Flybig, Gaurav Rathore said, "It gives me immense pride to announce that we have successfully established air connectivity in Tezu providing people of this city the freedom to travel via air."

"This challenging phase of the pandemic has reiterated the importance of air connectivity and we are committed to bringing air connectivity to the underserved areas in the country."

"Tezu is a beautiful destination for travelers and pilgrims alike. A flight between Tezu and Guwahati is a remarkable landmark that will make travel convenient for passengers," he added.

"Arunachal Pradesh now has a strong air network with earlier Pasighat and now Tezu activating air service. We are grateful to the Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh, Pema Khandu for his support and guidance in carrying out the operation successfully," Rathore further said.
