Follow ideals of Lachit Barphukan: Assam Gorkha Sammelan

UDALGURI: The Assam Gorkha Sammelan (AGS) has urged people to follow the ideals of Lachit Barphukan. The AGS observed the 400th birth anniversary of Lachit Barphukan across the State. Besides observation of Lachit Divas by various district units, the Assam Gorkha Sammelan centrally observed the occasion at the Mani Kumar Subba Bhavan at Paltan Bazar, Guwahati. In this programme, AGS general secretary Raju Dhakal and Jay Kumar Sutar were present and paid tribute to the legendary Lachit Barphukan. They urged people to get inspired by the sacrifice and valour of Borphukan.
