Food distributed among daily wage-earners in Bengaluru

PATHSALA: Amid nationwide lockdown in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak, an organization under the name ‘Assam Society of Bangalore’, with the help of Bangalore City Police, distributed food to the daily wage workers and security guards in Bengaluru.

Speaking to the correspondent, Hirak Jyoti Kakati, general secretary of Assam Society of Bangalore, said, “We are arranging food through Bangalore City Police. DCP South East Division Shrinath Joshi, who is also nodal officer for Northeast in Bengaluru, is taking lead in this and through him we are distributing food to the financially weak people.”
